Try SUP this Summer

Summer is the perfect time to explore different activities. It is the time of the year when you can enjoy the outdoors and be with nature. Make sure to try something new every summer. You wouldn’t know what new sport you can learn and actually be good at.

One of the most popular activities taking over the United States is Stand up paddling also known as SUP. It is relatively a new sport and hobby that lets you go around the water by literally standing up on your boat and paddling your way around. It is an interesting hobby to try especially for those who love other watersports such as surfing. Aside from the thrill, SUP is also a good exercise because you will be using a lot or core and arm muscles and some balancing. It is a new way to explore new waters and enjoy while breaking a sweat with some full body exercise.

In the United States, the popularity of SUP has made it easier for people to try this hobby even without owning your own paddleboard. There are rentals available that makes SUP accessible to anyone who wants to give it a try.

There are various beautiful destinations you can explore all over America by SUP. In Duluth, Minnesota, you can try SUP along Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. You will be able to discover hidden shorelines, caves and beaches that are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. If you want to explore some mangroves, visit Florida Keys and paddle your way through the mile long Cowkey Channel. In Long Beach, California, you can try SUP along Naple Canals and feel like you are in Italy. You can also try paddling along the Colorado River in Texas and Lake Tahoe in Nevada. If you want some spring break partying then visit Padres Islands in Texas and you can even paddle around the Laguna Madre Bay. Even if you are in New York, you do not have to go that far to experience paddling. There are stand up paddling activities near City Island. Even in the cold climates of Alaska, you can try paddling in Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau. Other places to try paddling includes MalikoDownwinder in Maui and the famous Black Canyon in Arizona.

With all these amazing destinations, there is definitely no excuse for you no to try SUP this summer.
